⚠ White Card Construction Induction Course
The MANDATORY certificate to work in the Australian construction industry. A one-day training session in Brisbane.
👷 Who is this course for?
Anyone in Australia who wants to land a well-paid job quickly:
Working Holiday Makers (417 and 462 visas) — the top priority: without a White Card you can't work in construction
International students — limited working rights but construction sites remain accessible
Expats and permanent residents — career change or supplementary income
Expat spouses on partner visas
If you intend to work in any construction trade — labourer, carpenter, painter, plasterer, welder, landscaper, finishing, demolition — you must have a White Card BEFORE your first day on site.
📚 Schedule (~4 hours of training)
8:45 AM — Welcome at 117 Quay St, Brisbane City. Complimentary coffee ☕
9:00 AM — Kick-off. Overview of the Australian construction industry. WHS legal framework: your rights and obligations
9:45 AM — Identifying hazards on a construction site. Assessing and prioritising risks. The hazards / risk control system
10:45 AM — Coffee break (15 min)
11:00 AM — Safety communication: supervisor, team, subcontractors. Toolbox talks. Refusing unsafe work
12:00 PM — Personal protective equipment (PPE): helmets, glasses, gloves, harnesses, masks. Emergency procedures: accidents, fires, first aid. Incident reporting
12:45 PM — Final assessment and certificate prep
1:00 PM — Course ends. You leave with your certificate 📜
📋 Documents and items to bring
✅ Official photo ID (mandatory): passport or Australian driver licence
✅ Valid visa documentation
✅ A second form of ID from your country of origin (national ID card, driver licence, etc.)
✅ Your USI number (Unique Student Identifier) — create it beforehand at usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi
⚠ Without valid identification, the White Card cannot be issued by ASQA. This is a national rule with no exceptions.

🌏 Recognised across Australia: valid in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Cairns. No need to redo it if you move states
🔄 Lifetime validity — unless you're out of construction for more than 2 years, in which case you'd need to redo it
💼 Apply immediately: labour-hire agencies (Hays, Programmed, Skout), Gumtree, Indeed, or directly on site
❓ FAQ
I already have a White Card from another state (NSW, VIC, etc.). Do I need to redo it?
No. The Australian White Card is unique and recognised nationwide.
When will I receive my certificate?
The official Statement of Attainment (CPCWHS1001) is handed to you the same day, at the end of the course.
What happens if I fail the final assessment?
Your trainer will go back over the difficult points with you. In practice, the pass rate is close to 100%.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Cancellations and date changes are not available once the booking is confirmed.
My English is limited. Can I still take the course?
Yes. Our trainer is experienced in teaching students with limited English. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
